Kanazawa Castle Photo Album
This garden is at the base of the entrance to the Castle. The entrance
is to the left and up a bit.
This is the entrance, and the garden from above, is to the lower left.
Much of Kanazawa Castle is overgrown, as you can see from above.
This small keep is near the entrance and is one of the few sections of
the castle intact.
As you can see, the castle is under construction. It is in year three
of a ten year reconstruction programme. I will be back in seven years
to see the result. The castle sits on a huge site, and besides, the
garden it is across the road from is among the best in Japan.
This is the moat, it doesn't go all the way around the castle.
Perhaps only part of one side, that I could see.
